Beast = Beauty???

My class and I are reading Shakespeare's work and the best we've read so far is sonnet 130.. WHY?

Cause it's a parody on how many poets describes women as these FANTASTIC creatures.
And believe me, I'm happy that they do, but come on, sometimes they exaggerate and write stuff we WOMEN can't leave up to. So personally I like this sonnet cause the poet somehow loves his mistress even though she is a “beast” in his eyes...She is perfect!

SONNET 130

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;
Coral is far more red than her lips' red;
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.

I have seen roses damask'd, red and white,
But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
And in some perfumes is there more delight
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.

I love to hear her speak, yet well I know
That music hath a far more pleasing sound;
I grant I never saw a goddess go;
My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground:
And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
As any she belied with false compare.

Guys out there I hope you love your woman just the way she is, and women learn to love your perfect imperfections...

My fashionable sister

It feels like it was just yesterday that this little young woman, was a little baby in my arms...
oh why do they all grow so fast. As a proud sister I'm happy to show her off, and her cute sense of style.
She is so fierce in her own way, and the way she carry herself with so much bravery, I feel like I'm learning from her even though the age difference.

Shuu I feel so damn old now, looking on her generation...

I have the most hard working and strong Mother, the funniest and loving brother, the caring and creative sister, amazing cousins, auntie’s,uncle's and a rocking grandmother... I am truly blessed to have these people in my life cause they are apart of who I am today and who I'm to be tomorrow.

Best thing I have: Family

Sometimes we forget how important these people are we simply forget to appreciate them.

So I'm here tell you that you need show some love to your wonderful family.... And remind them on how much you love and care about them.
